VENUE CHANGE: SCI, London, UK
This event is no longer available for registration.
For many years, the UK has produced high calibre synthetic organic chemists, able to retrosynthesise complex molecules and natural products then solve the challenging problem associated with the forward synthesis. To celebrate this and to ensure it remains an important skill in the chemist’s repertoire, groups from SCI and the RSC organise the National Retrosynthesis Competition on an annual basis.
Following six very successful events, the 7th competition is currently in progress, with the final being held at RSC, Burlington House on Friday 13 March 2020.
This is a unique opportunity to support and celebrate the talent of UK chemists working in academia and industry. With the financial support of sponsors and exhibitors, delegates can attend the competition final in London for free, supporting their early career development and providing excellent networking opportunities with peers at a similar career stage as well as a number of VIP guests including Heads of Chemistry, CEOs of SMEs, CROs and large organisations, MPs and many more influential contacts.
