Sir George Beilby's long and remarkable career as scientist and industrialist was marked by an enduring interest in the twin concerns of fuel economy and smoke abatement.
The Beilby Medal and Prize are awarded annually to a scientist or engineer to recognise substantial work of exceptional practical significance in chemical engineering, applied materials science, energy efficiency, or a related field.
We are pleased to announce that the recipient of this year’s Beilby Medal will be Prof Jin Xuan. Professor Xuan graduated with a PhD degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2012, with the research topic in energy and environment engineering.
The meeting will be of interest to Academics and Industrialists with an interest in Materials in general and Materials for Environmental Sustainability in particular.
