Synopsis
On Thursday May 5 2022 SCI is holding the annual Canada Awards Dinner. This event brings together key members of the chemical and industrial community to celebrate the achievements of both the SCI Canada Award Winners and Student Merit Award Winners.
This Awards brings science and business together by enhancing connections between industry and chemical science and engineering professionals.
A free to attend afternoon panel discussion will be held and will be attended by Canada Student Merit Award recipients and other leaders from industry and academia, directly preceding the Awards Dinner. The subject of this discussion is: "Sustainability in a Low Carbon Economy". Panellists include 2022 Canada Awards winners are Prof Karim Zaghib (Kalev Pugi award winner), Dr. Ken Schmidt (Outreach award winner), Bob Magee (Canada Medal recipient) and student award winner, Grace Belzil (Bishop’s University). The session will be chaired by Dr. Helen Burt (Julia Levy memorial award winner).
