Chemical engineering is a versatile education that leads to a wide range of employment opportunities, while employers make use of chemical engineers in a diverse range of roles.
Following on from the successful event in October 2018, the purpose of this symposium is once again to create a community of mutual understanding in the local and wider area – students understanding what employers want from chemical engineering graduates, employers understanding the aims and distinctive features of the Huddersfield chemical engineering programmes and the attributes of the graduates we produce, and academics understanding how our vision of chemical engineering connects with the needs of the local industry.
The meeting will focus on how our recent graduates have used their chemical engineering education to move into a range of successful careers, complemented by perspectives on the value of chemical engineering from local employers Syngenta and Yorkshire Water.
