Founded in 1882, SCI launched its inaugural journal, 'The Society of Chemical Industry'. Since then, the Society has established eight additional peer-reviewed journals, solidifying its global leadership in publications dedicated to translating chemistry and related sciences into industry for societal benefit.
SCI's dedication to impactful research extends beyond its established journals. In 2025, the organisation introduced SCI Sustainability, a Gold Open Access transdisciplinary journal devoted to pioneering research addressing sustainability challenges in scientific industries.
