Synopsis

This free evening meeting will be a perfect opportunity to meet scientists in business, industry and 
science, and to discuss topics such as:

  • How to kick start your career
  • Getting the right job
  • Finding a real job

The meeting will start with drinks then a series of six speakers will talk for no more that 10 minutes each on their careers in various jobs (industry, teaching, academia, etc), covering what they have learnt, what obstacles they have faced, and more! Also included is a short session on CVs, covering letters and interview preparation.

The evening will conclude with a complimentary buffet supper and wine. Don't worry if you can't make it for 17:00. The meeting will continue for 2-3 hours, giving you lots of opportunity for one-to-one discussions with the speakers.
