Synopsis

SCI's Materials Science Early Career Forum invites you to attend their networking event, symposium and BBQ which will be held on Monday 1 October 2018 at SCI's offices in Belgrave Square, London.

This event, the second in the annual series, follows on from the success of last year's inaugural event. It will consist of two keynote talks from leaders in the field as well as talks from early career researchers. This event will be an opportunity for ECRs to learn about all the fantastic research being done in the field as well as giving you chance to network and develop professional skills in a relaxed atmosphere.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place oral and poster winners.

Early career researchers wishing to give a short talk (15 minutes including questions) are encouraged to submit an abstract with a maximum of 2000 characters with spaces to conferences@soci.org by Monday 10 September 2018 with "Materials Science Early Career Forum - short talk abstract" in the subject line.

Call for Poster Abstracts

Early career researchers wishing to present a poster should submit an abstract with a maximum of 2000 characters with spaces to conferences@soci.org by Monday 10 September 2018 with "Materials Science Early Career Forum - poster abstract" in the subject line. Selected poster presenters will be given the opportunity to give a flash presentation (flash poster talks a maximum of 5 minutes).
