This meeting will provide an exciting insight into the science of brewing and the world of beer tasting.
Formal presentations will be made on the science and technology of brewing, how beer is made, what additives are allowed and the effect of different components and brewing techniques on flavour development. A detailed presentation on beer tasting will also be made.
This event is for anyone with an interest in the areas of food research, analytical chemistry and the food industry or simply if you like beer. This will be a great chance to relax in a friendly atmosphere, and to network or catch up with friends, colleagues, and new associates with a few drinks.
The presentation will be made by Ian McInerney and Lisa Owens who both have extensive experience working in the brewing industry with Melbourne’s largest brewer.
Nibbles, soft drink, water, etc will be available throughout the evening.
