This event is no longer available for registration.
This event involves a tour of the Bournemouth Wildlife Centre and the Cherry Tree Nursery.
Bournemouth Wildlife Centre is part of Bouremouth Council’s Stour valley nature reserve. The reserve runs for two miles along the Stour Valley to the north west of the town and includes meadows, hedgerows and an arboretum as well as the wildlife centre itself.
Cherry Tree Nursery is a charity based on horticulture providing meaningful occupation in a supportive environment, aiming to restore well-being to people with mental illness. The charity was set up to provide sheltered work rehabilitation, in a supportive but realistic working environment, for people with severe and enduring mental illness. The nursery produces more than 100,000 high quality garden plants every year.
SCI accessibility grants are available to support SCI members with disabilities, long term health conditions, those who require a carer, and members who are nursing parents to attend SCI events. Download an application form to apply for a grant.
