ADMET 2023

Organised by:

 SCI's Young Chemists’ Panel

SCI, London, UK

Registration Closed

This event is no longer available for registration.

Synopsis

This is the 8th event organised by SCI’s Young Chemists’ Panel to highlight the challenges associated with ADMET (Adsorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Elimination and Toxicity) in Medicinal Chemistry. The aim is to provide participants with a practical understanding of ADMET parameters, how to diagnose common ADMET problems and how to improve compound design to overcome these problems.

Attendees

The event is aimed at organic chemists (graduate or PhD) working in a pharmaceutical research environment and students thinking about a career in this sector. Participants are provided with a booklet containing the material presented, worked examples and literature references.

Day 2 of the ADMET event is an interactive industry-standard DMPK workshop developed and facilitated by professional drug-discovery scientists to provide a step-change in knowledge and understanding. The objective is to embed key principles from day 1 in the context of free (unbound) drug and increase fluency in handling & interpreting DMPK data. The workshop comprises training in small groups, with expert scientists from ADMET and medicinal chemistry on hand to ensure a rich training experience.
