Synopsis
The 31st SCI Annual Review Meeting – Frontiers in Organic Synthesis: Emerging Methods and Applications, organised by SCI's Young Chemists’ Panel, will address key areas of contemporary synthetic organic chemistry. An exciting line-up of leading early career academics will deliver a series of review lectures covering a range of topics, including main group catalysis, organofluorine chemistry, asymmetric catalysis, and DNA/RNA technology. The meeting will deliver a comprehensive overview of the material, highlight new methods, and introduce (potential) industrial applications. The review lectures will be supported by two plenary speakers: Prof Sabine Flitsch from the University of Manchester and Prof Stephen Fletcher from the University of Oxford.
Attendees
The meeting is ideally suited to those working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or agrochemical industries who want to develop their knowledge in key areas. It is also aimed at those in academia, particularly graduates and post-graduates with a background in synthesis and catalysis. An electronic delegate pack will be provided to all participants containing the lecture materials, as well as extensive literature references that will be an excellent resource for years to come.
