The SCI Food Group continues their long standing support of the Young Food Scientist competition in the North of England, together with the Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) Northern branch.
The finalists will be presenting on current work or a recently completed project within food science, food technology or human nutrition.
A panel of judges will be assessing the presentations for originality and innovation, presentation style, the results and and conclusions, and how well the student has demonstrated the applicability of their work.
The winner will receive a cash prize of £200, the opportunity to publish a paper in IFST's Food Science & Technology (FS&T) journal and invited to join SCI's Young Ambassador Scheme. All finalists will receive a cash prize of £25 along with IFST/SCI membership.
