Students Lars Luckoff and Alice Parish Matheson received SCI-sponsored prizes from Dr Raymond Holland at a ceremony at the University of Bristol on 16 July 2013.
The pair, both from the University of Bath, were honoured for their poster presentations at the 2012 Mike Rothwell Symposium, where students who have spent a year in industry present to their peers and staff. This is an oral examination that forms part of their degree.
The award-winning posters were:
- Lars Luckoff: Industrial placement as a process design engineer at Dow Corning.
- Alice Parish Matheson: Heat Transfer and Mixing in a Two-Phase Bubble Column (industrial placement at DSM, Geleen, Netherlands).
