Plugging the Antibiotics Gap: A Medicinal Chemist's Perspective was held at Alderley Edge Conference Centre, Cheshire on Wednesday 16 November 2016.
The meeting was a great success, attracted over 100 delegates and support from a number of sponsors and exhibitors. The scientific programme looked at the current state of the art from a medicinal chemist’s perspective and focussed in particular on challenges associated with discovering and developing new antimicrobials. Speakers from industry and academia discussed their own strategies for addressing these challenges whilst promoting the opportunity for creativity and innovation.
