The winners of the £5,000 prize were Plastech Innovation from Durham University – Natasha Boulding, Phillip Buckley and Scott Bush – who impressed with their innovative business based on a reducing plastic waste by processing it into novel aggregates used in concrete.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for networking to students, early-career professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, and industry figures, in addition to inspirational talks and training from the judges and supporters of the competition.
A full write-up of the event will be published next week. Keep updated with Bright SCIdea 2020 here.
