David Bott joined SCI in 2019 as Head of Innovation
After 26 years with BP, Courtaulds and ICI, spent leading research groups in both their corporate centres and business units, David discovered an interest in start-ups 20 years ago.
He is a Principal Fellow at WMG, has been the Director of Innovation Programmes at the Technology Strategy Board (now Innovate UK), a member of Sheffield University Council, chaired Oxford Biomaterials and been a Non-Executive Director of Oxeco, and has engaged in a wide variety of activities involving materials, design, sustainability and innovation.
