The construction industry has long been innovative with new, high-performing materials to reduce cost and increase productivity. It is also determined to reduce its carbon footprint as quickly as possible. The production of cement is widely recognised as the third most damaging polluter after power-generation and transport, contributing some 8% of the world’s CO2 emissions.

The discovery of making concrete without using cement (OPC) has been a “game-changer” for the industry, particularly as the properties of the finished concrete element is more durable and lighter in colour, than the OPC-based concrete that it replaces.

The webinar on “Ultra-low carbon concrete” will demonstrate the progress that has been made by the industry to overcome its damaging legacy.

Attendees

The event is targeted at designers, consulting engineers, cement and concrete suppliers and asset owners. Maintenance-free, infrastructure projects are every asset owner’s dream.
