Online Webinar: 14:00 - 15:00 BST

With the mounting public pressure to reduce plastic use and to increase recycling, food packaging design and function is under intense scrutiny.
The food industry is under pressure to use more sustainable packaging, maximise food shelf life and minimise, both, food and packaging wastes. Within an industry that is incredibly price-competitive and operates on very low margins, solutions must not be high cost or at the expense of food quality and safety, and these different challenges can often conflict.
This webinar will aim cover this fascinating topic by presenting a retail perspective and that of a packaging solution provider.
This event will be of interest to those working as food manufacturers and retailers, packaging manufacturers and contract-packers, as well as environmental and recycling interest groups. It would also be suitable for students and academics interested in the field of food packaging.
