Bright SCIdea Challenge 2022 Final

Synopsis

SCI’s Bright SCIdea Challenge is an annual entrepreneurial competition which allows university students the opportunity to develop and showcase their business skills. The Bright SCIdea challenge asks students to develop a plausible scientific concept that could be commercialised for the benefit of society. University teams receive free, accredited business planning training and are asked to submit a full business plan, detailing how their idea can be taken to market. Shortlisted teams are invited to pitch their idea at the final to win a significant cash prize. The first Bright SCIdea challenge took place in March 2018 and since has seen winners go on to launch companies and take their products to market.

This year, SCI will host the Bright SCIdea Challenge final as a Hybrid event in March 2022 where shortlisted teams will pitch their ideas to the panel of industry experts. 

In-person registrations have now reached full capacity. New attendees will be able to register for the online live event.

The final will showcase the innovative and scientific business ideas of university students – attendees from academia to industry are encouraged to attend to support the next generation of scientists and engineers.
