London, 26th February 2026 – The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) has announced the University of York as an Academic Member.
The University of York is a leading public research university and member of the Russell Group. It is organised into over 30 departments and research centres across humanities, sciences, and social sciences, with more than 22,000 students. York holds a TEF Gold rating for teaching and ranks in the UK top ten for research quality.
The University of York joins a wider community of Academic Members, including The University of Greenwich and the University of Birmingham (CDT Engineering department).
Academic membership with SCI gives Universities the opportunity to join a global network of scientists and entrepreneurs, and access to SCI’s portfolio of products and services, such as scientific information, professional development opportunities, careers support, and industry-leading technical events.
