If you are travelling to a conference or planning a study visit in 2016 and are in need of funds have you considered applying for an SCI Travel Bursary?
Did you know that SCI offers travel bursaries of up to £1500 to support travel costs for scientists working across a number of sectors as diverse as food and agrisciences, environment, energy, health and well-being?
SCI members* who are in the early stages of their career are invited to apply for a travel bursary to attend a conference, or to support travel in connection with their work and development.
Applications are welcomed from members who are studying in the fields represented by any of our diverse Technical Interest Groups.
We are now accepting applications for the travel period 1 July and 31 December 2016 (or between 1 June and 31 December for Rideal bursaries). Visit our travel bursaries page, by clicking on the link below, for more details and to access our online application form.
All applications must be completed using the online nomination forms and supporting references.
Deadlines for applications:
- AJ Banks, Messel, Leverhulme and Richardson - 31 March
- Rideal - 15 April
*Please note that applicants must be SCI standard or student members (travel bursaries are not available to e-members or non-members) prior to application, with the exception of Rideal Travel Bursaries where applicants can be either an SCI or RSC member.
