Hossam Abdelrahman is a dedicated and accomplished individual with a passion for biochemistry and food chemistry. Throughout his academic journey at the University of Guelph, Hossam demonstrated exemplary skills in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and analytical biochemistry, as reflected in his well-crafted lab reports and impressive GPA of 90.288. His commitment to excellence earned him recognition on the Dean's List and the prestigious Society of Chemical Industry Prize in Biochemistry.
As a proactive researcher, Hossam served as a Research Assistant in the Food Science Department for two years, where he applied his expertise in CAD software to design innovative 3D food matrices for printing. He not only developed user-friendly protocols but also effectively communicated research findings to stakeholders, showcasing his ability to translate complex concepts into accessible insights. He finished his undergraduate with a thesis project on “Deteriorative Processes in Biological Materials: Effect of Microstructure on Lipid Oxidation and Scaffold Stability.
