Are you or do you know an aspiring chemical engineer?
SCI is pleased to let you know that The Seligman APV Trust is sponsoring a travel award (of up to £250) this year for attendance to the EHEDG World Congress on Hygienic Engineering & Design 2018.
The SCI Seligman APV travel grant is designed to support the development of PhD students, postdoctoral researchers' and industrial researchers' careers by helping them to broaden their vision and share cutting-edge knowledge at international conferences or laboratory visits. The award is aimed at those who are at a relatively early stage of their careers, typically this will be up to 10 years after completion of a first degree, or up to 10 years after starting a first position in Food Engineering.
To qualify in this application round, the individual must be registered for EHEDG and preference may be given to those presenting a paper/poster at the conference.
All applications must be completed using the online application form and supporting references are required.
All applications and supporting documents must be received by 17 October.
Any questions and supporting documents should be sent to: awards@soci.org
Successful candidates will be selected by the Seligman APV Trustees, who will review all applications and independently score them using pre-determined assessment criteria. Those who receive the award will be required to produce a short report (max 2 sides A4) following their attendance at the conference. Candidates will be required to deliver their report, and receipts to support their claim before payment will be made.
*Please note that applicants must be SCI members prior to application
