Standing up for Science media workshops
In the coming year, Sense About Science hold four Standing up for Science media workshops for early career researchers: in London, Manchester, Scotland and - for the first time in 2015 - Warwick.
Workshops are aimed at PhD students, postdocs or equivalent in a first job and are open to early career researchers in all sciences, engineering and medicine. There are 40 places available, with priority places offered for those who are members of or funded by the workshop's partner organisations.

Annual Lecture
Steve Rayner, James Martin Professor of Science and Civilization and Director of the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society at Oxford University, will give the 2014 Sense About Science Annual Lecture on Friday 14th November, from 6pm at the British Library.
Professor Rayner will discuss the role of science policy and technology in providing solutions to global problems, and the trend of politicised evidence.
