3 June 2013
With great regret, I advise SCI members that I will be leaving my position as Executive Director of SCI from the end of September 2013. I am thoroughly enjoying my role at SCI and this difficult decision has been taken entirely for personal reasons, in particular my husband’s health. I will be returning to New Zealand, with my family, by the end of the year.
I will miss the SCI staff, members and partners and the opportunity to be part of SCI's future. In the next few months I will concentrate on managing the delivery of the objectives we have set for this year, setting plans for next year and ensuring a smooth handover.
SCI really does make a difference. We offer a valuable network and knowledge base to our active members in particular but also to a much wider client base throughout the world which benefits from our leading-edge magazine, journals and conferences. I am proud of what we collectively achieve and feel confident that SCI will adapt and flourish in the future.
