31 July 2017
Venue: AstraZeneca, Macclesfield, UK
Date: Wednesday 1 November 2017
Are you a young chemist working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or agrochemical sector?
Would you like the opportunity to discover more about other branches of industry?
This autumn SCI’s Young Chemists’ Panel is pleased to present the 24th Young Chemist in Industry conference on Wednesday 1 November 2017. It is the perfect opportunity for industrial chemists to learn more about what their contemporaries are working on in other companies and areas of research. It also presents an opportunity for academic chemists to find out about the different challenges and focus that working in an industrial setting has to offer.
The programme will include talks from scientists at AstraZeneca, GSK, UCB Celltech, Lilly, Dr Reddy’s and Syngenta. This is a superb opportunity for younger chemists to showcase their industrial research to an external audience. Prizes will be awarded for the best talk and runners-up, plus there will be a lecture from a leading industrial chemist to conclude the proceedings. The meeting is free and will appeal not only to young chemists in industry, but graduates and post-graduates with a background in organic chemistry.
SCI members can claim CPD points for attending this conference.
