Hope for a sustainable future
The SCI Agri-Food Early Career Committee has launched its 2021 Twitter Photo Competition #agrifoodbecause. Now in its fourth year, we are asking early career scientists – students, postdocs, and technicians – to share a photograph that represents their work.
The theme for 2021 is: ‘My hope for a sustainable future.’ All you need to do is share a photo of your #agrifood work and explain why it gives you hope for a sustainable future. If you need some inspiration you can take a look at last year’s entries and winning photograph by Jordan Cuff, Cardiff University. The winner of this year’s competition will receive a £100 Amazon voucher, along with one year’s student membership to SCI, along with a certificate.
To enter, all you need to do is Tweet a photo with a caption letting us know why it gives you hope for a sustainable future. Entries should include #agrifoodbecause and tag the SCI Agri-Food Early Careers Committee Twitter handle @SCI_AgriFood. Judged by an expert panel, your images can have anything to do with agriscienes; including plants, pollinators, food, pests, environment, and agriculture.
Closing date for entries is 12 November 2021.
